Taron Egerton Asks Benson Boone for Concert Tickets to Impress His Sister and Finally Seem ‘Cool’
Taron Egerton may have starred in a number of blockbuster films, but that doesn’t mean his little sisters are batting an eye. If he knew Benson Boone, on the other hand…
While guesting on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday night (July 29), the Rocket Man star opened up about how apathetic his younger siblings are when it comes to his career. After coming to terms with the fact that he’ll never win them over on his own, Egerton shared that he’s come to realize “there is one thing that could be achieved that would get — particularly my younger sister, Mary, who’s 12 — to be impressed with me.”
The actor went on to share how Mary will ask him every single time they chat on the phone whether he knows a certain male pop singer. “She’ll go ‘Do you know Benson Boone?’ And I’ll go, ‘No, I haven’t met Benson Boone since Thursday,’” Egerton said. “And she’s like, ‘OK … [it would] be good if you knew Benson Boone.’”

Egerton ended the note with a desperate plea. “So, Benson Boone, if you are watching, please, please can me and my little sister come and see you in concert, because I’ll get cool points?” he said.
Luckily for the Hollywood star, Boone is going on tour soon, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities for Egerton and his sister to see him live. After releasing his latest album American Heart — and reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200 — the backflipping crooner is now set to embark on a tour of North America and Europe starting in August. In December, he’ll perform at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is the final race of the Formula 1 season.
