Takopi’s Original Sin Compilation Film Gets New Trailer Ahead of November 27 Japan Release
The familiar story will be expanded with new scenes.
The creators of the feature-length anime Takopi’s Original Sin have released a new trailer and poster. The trailer features the song “Love You” performed by Tele, who previously recorded the ending theme for the original series.
The film carries the subtitle Arigato, Mata Ashita (“Thank You, See You Tomorrow”) and combines the events of all six episodes released in 2025. For the theatrical version, the story will be re-edited and expanded with new scenes. The anime has already won Best Drama at the Anime Trending Awards 2026, beating the second season of The Apothecary Diaries in the audience vote.
In the story, a naive alien named Takopi comes to Earth to bring happiness to people. He meets a schoolgirl named Shizuka and tries to help her with his unusual gadgets. Takopi has no understanding of human relationships, so his good intentions lead to tragic consequences.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Taizan 5. The studio ENISHIYA handles production, Shinya Iino returns as director and screenwriter, and Keita Nagahara is responsible for character design. Kurumi Mamiya, who voiced Takopi, and Reina Ueda, who voiced Shizuka, are returning to their roles.
The film premieres in Japan on November 27, 2026. The international release date is not yet known.
