Stranger Things Creators to Appear in Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Planet of Death
The Duffer brothers and Dan Trachtenberg did manage to collaborate — just not in the way they initially planned.
In an interview with ScreenTime, director Dan Trachtenberg revealed he had originally intended to direct the third episode of Stranger Things season five, but had to withdraw because his schedule overlapped with the production of Predator: Planet of Death.
To make up for his absence, Trachtenberg devised a reciprocal gesture — he invited the Duffer brothers to take part in his film.
Matt and Ross Duffer accepted, though Trachtenberg says they were a little apprehensive — they’re not professional actors. Their voices now speak for the Yautja ship, the alien hunter species commonly known as the Predators.
Trachtenberg added that the brothers’ cameo served as a way for them to “work together as friends,” despite conflicting schedules and commitments on separate projects.
