The legendary Stevie Nicks lent her ethereal magic to the highly anticipated wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
During the couple’s spectacular ceremony at Madison Square Garden this past Friday, July 3, the Fleetwood Mac icon took to the stage to perform, a detail confirmed by Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts. Roberts, alongside her colleagues George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, was among the select group of guests who witnessed the star-studded affair.
“We can confirm that Stevie Nicks did perform,” Roberts stated during Saturday’s broadcast. Reports from The New York Times indicate that Swift and Nicks held a rehearsal at the iconic venue earlier that same Friday.
While the setlist remains a mystery, the connection between the two artists runs deep. Their friendship has spanned years, highlighted by their iconic 2010 Grammy performance and Nicks’ poetic contribution to Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. Swift even paid tribute to the singer-songwriter in her 2024 track “Clara Bow.” Following news of the couple’s engagement, Nicks expressed her genuine joy, noting to Rolling Stone that she felt the pop star was in a wonderful place with a truly good partner.
Stephanopoulos noted the surreal nature of the event, remarking, “It was as intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden,” adding that the venue had been transformed into a beautiful, private sanctuary. Strahan described the occasion simply as a “dream wedding.”
The ceremony featured deeply personal touches, including custom vows read from keepsake books. Comedian Adam Sandler presided over the nuptials, even treating guests to an original, heartfelt song. Eschewing traditional bridal party roles, the couple kept things focused on family, with Austin Swift serving as man of honor and Jason Kelce standing by his brother’s side as best man. The pair stunned in custom Christian Dior Haute Couture as they sealed their union, with the iconic MSG screens later flashing the celebratory message: “JUST&T MARRIED!”
The guest list was a constellation of A-list talent, with stars like Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Mariska Hargitay, Jack Antonoff, Benson Boone, and Camila Cabello in attendance to celebrate the couple, who announced their engagement last August with the playful nod: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married!”
