It appears that the gaming community is out in full force to bolster their Steam collections.
In the opening days of January 2026, Steam demonstrated extraordinary performance metrics regarding its active user base. The tracking service SteamDB has officially registered a significant new milestone for the platform.
Concurrent activity reached a staggering peak of 41,816,052 users. At the time this record was shattered, 13,399,958 accounts were actively engaged in a game session.
The Steam Winter Sale remains live until January 5 at 21:00 Moscow time, featuring a diverse catalog of games and downloadable content at major discounts.
