Spider-Man: Brand New Day DLC officially arrives in 2023’s best Marvel game

It is an eventful week for everyone’s favorite wall-crawler, and Insomniac Games is marking the occasion in style. In celebration of the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day—the web-slinger’s newest cinematic adventure in the MCU—and ahead of the upcoming brawler Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, brand-new cosmetic suits have officially dropped in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Sony initially teased the arrival of the Brand New Day attire back in June, and Peter’s Fresh Start outfit is live as of today. Meanwhile, the addition of the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls suit comes as an utterly delightful surprise, perfectly translating Peter’s striking aesthetic from the upcoming tag-team fighter directly into Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While the Fresh Start variant offers a sleek and classic aesthetic, the Tōkon skin boasts breathtaking visual flair that truly sets it apart on the streets of New York.

Along with these fresh wardrobe additions, the latest patch introduces a handful of welcome technical enhancements. The software now incorporates Enhanced PSSR optimization for the PlayStation 5 Pro alongside a dedicated Power Saver Mode. Even years after its initial launch, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 holds its ground as a pinnacle achievement in gaming adaptations of Marvel properties.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits cinemas on July 31, picking up the narrative threads left dangling by 2021’s No Way Home. In this chapter, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker navigates a lonely reality where his loved ones no longer remember him or his heroic alter-ego. The film features an enigmatic antagonist portrayed by Sadie Sink, whose true nature has fueled intense fan speculation.
