Soulslike Shooter Guns of Eschaton, Viktor Antonov’s Last Project, Gets New Trailer With Release Date
The game will be available on PC and consoles.
Publisher 4Divinity and developer Eschatology Entertainment have announced a release date for Guns of Eschaton, a mystical first-person shooter with soulslike elements set in the Wild West during the apocalypse. The game launches on December 8 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The project’s visual style was shaped under the direction of Viktor Antonov, art director of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored. Working with an international development team, he created an original universe that combines the aesthetics of the 19th-century American frontier with occult horror, mythology, religion, and supernatural phenomena.
Guns of Eschaton is the last game made with Antonov’s involvement. The Bulgarian-born artist, art director, and designer of virtual worlds died on February 7, 2025, in Paris at the age of 52. His death was announced publicly in mid-February. Representatives of Eschatology Entertainment, the studio he founded, confirmed the news, followed by his family.
