‘Sesame Street’ Parodies Chappell Roan Hit for New Potty-Training Anthem

Sesame Street Brings the Beats: New ‘Parody Party’ Album Reimagines Pop Hits for Kids

“P” is for parody, and the gang at Sesame Street is ready to hit the charts. We can officially report that the beloved educational program is set to release a delightful new album, Parody Party, which transforms current pop anthems into family-friendly tracks packed with lessons and laughter.

Arriving on July 26 via Warner Music’s Arts Music, the seven-track collection balances previously released viral favorites with brand-new comedic covers.

The album is spearheaded by the lead single “Take a Bite,” featuring everyone’s favorite cookie connoisseur, Cookie Monster. In a whimsical music video that mirrors the energy of Bruno Mars’ chart-topping hit “I Just Might,” our blue furry friend offers a gourmet perspective on the art of snacking.

“Hey, Mr. Baker! Oooooh!/ We can’t resist that buttery flavor!/ If cookie tastes as good as it looks right now/ Me will take a bite, a big bite!” Cookie belts out, backed by a lively ensemble of fellow monsters eager for a treat.

The ‘Parody Party’ Tracklist

  • “Where Is My Lovie?”: Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Elmo put an R&B spin on RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” as they embark on a quest to find a missing toy.
  • “Go for the Gold”: A collaborative cover of the HUNTR/X smash “Golden,” reimagined to champion the virtues of teamwork and friendship.
  • “Got to Go”: A catchy potty-training anthem inspired by Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go!” designed to help little ones recognize the signals their bodies send.
  • “Me Want It, But Me Wait”: A lesson in self-control set to the tune of Icona Pop’s high-energy hit, “I Love It.”
  • “Shake It Off”: Oscar the Grouch puts his signature curmudgeonly spin on Taylor Swift’s iconic track, turning it into an upbeat ode to recycling.
  • “Share It Maybe”: Cookie Monster returns to take on Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” teaching the valuable joy of sharing snacks with friends.
