Sabrina Carpenter Says Performing With Stevie Nicks at Met Gala ‘Healed So Much’

First, it was Madonna; now, Stevie Nicks! One has to wonder which musical icon Sabrina Carpenter will collaborate with next.

Following the Met Gala, Carpenter offered a glimpse behind the scenes via an Instagram carousel shared on Wednesday (May 6). The post showcased two standout ensembles she debuted inside the gala, away from the red carpet cameras. One striking choice was a Versace gown emblazoned with Andy Warhol’s iconic pop art portraits of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. For her headline-grabbing performance alongside the legendary Stevie Nicks, Carpenter opted for a shimmering, gold-fringed Bob Mackie creation.

The post included a tender image of the two artists clasping hands, alongside a clip of their evocative duet. In the video, the pair share an intimate performance of Fleetwood Mac’s perennial favorite, “Landslide.” The track saw a massive resurgence in early 2026, climbing to No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 after being featured in the emotional series finale of Stranger Things.

In her heartfelt caption, Carpenter extended her gratitude to Anna Wintour, Vogue, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the invitation, adding that the evening gifted her with “a beautiful new friend” in Nicks.

“Singing together healed many things in me!” Carpenter reflected, addressing the rock icon directly.

The pop star also took a moment to celebrate the creatives who brought her vision to life, thanking the designers behind her “legendary dresses” and her dedicated team—including director Baz Luhrmann, choreographer Jasmine Badie, Vogue entertainment director Sergio Kletnoy, and agency founder Keith Baptista—for navigating the chaos of the night with such grace.

Beyond her captivating performance, Carpenter played a pivotal role as a member of the Met Gala’s host committee, working in tandem with stars like Teyana Taylor, Doja Cat, and Sam Smith to orchestrate the evening’s festivities.
