Rumors Point to Mafia 2 and 3 Definitive Editions Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

Listings for Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S appeared on the ESRB website before being removed.

With the release of the Mafia: The Omertà Collection, the original remake received a full next-gen version, while the other two entries were left without an upgrade. Now, judging by information obtained from the ESRB database, this omission is set to be addressed.

The pages on the website of the North American ratings board appeared before being taken down, which indicates that the games are being brought to modern consoles. At the moment, they can only be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via their PS4 and Xbox One versions, respectively.

It is not yet clear what technical improvements will be introduced. Most likely, the main feature will be 60 fps. There is also no word on when the new versions will be released.
