GTA 6 Will Not Be Playable On PC via Xbox Cloud Gaming

Reports that GTA 6 would be playable on PC on day one via cloud gaming have been denied by a high-ranking Xbox executive.

Original Source

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma reportedly told her employees to prepare for something that would not be available on other platforms, referring to Grand Theft Auto VI. In an article for The Verge, journalist Tom Warren reported that this meant exclusive rights to stream the game through Xbox Cloud Gaming. This led to the conclusion that GTA VI would be playable on PC via the cloud.

Denial

Shortly afterward, Xbox Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Matthew Ball stated that this was not the case, noting that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be available to stream on PC on the day of release.

Following this, the author of the original article published a correction citing Ball’s statement.

Rockstar Games has not commented on the situation.
