Rumor: Ti West Is Working on a Film Adaptation of “A Christmas Story”
A new potential project from Ti West, the director behind the horror trilogy “X”, has surfaced. The film may be titled Scrooge — a fresh adaptation of Charles Dickens’s novella “A Christmas Carol”.
The report comes from the World of Reel portal. The source material follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly financier living in 19th‑century London. During Christmas he is visited by three spirits whose interventions utterly reshape his view of the world.
Specific details about the production have not yet been confirmed. Paramount is overseeing the project, with filming tentatively planned in Ireland and England. Previously, Robert Eggers (“Nosferatu”) had been preparing his own take on “A Christmas Carol” with Willem Dafoe attached to portray Scrooge — as noted here.
