Rumor: Nintendo Prepares Major November 19 Release as Competitor to GTA VI
Nintendo may reportedly release a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time alongside a special Switch 2 edition and an anniversary Pro Controller on November 19.
Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19. Publishers are trying to avoid this date, and some games have already been delayed to 2027. Nintendo, however, appears to be considering a different strategy.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is still scheduled for 2026, although its exact release date has not been announced. The situation became more interesting following a recent leak regarding a special Nintendo Switch 2 version and a new Pro Controller tied to the 40th anniversary of Zelda.
According to recent leaks, both devices will go on sale on November 19, which is the release day for GTA VI. Players have speculated that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake could launch alongside them.

At first glance, launching on the same day as GTA VI looks almost like suicide. Rockstar is preparing what is likely the biggest release in industry history. Nintendo possesses a massive and dedicated audience, and Zelda has the power to sell consoles. Because of this, fans might purchase the remake, the special Switch 2, and the Pro Controller simultaneously, even if GTA VI debuts on the same day.
