Road Trip Ready: Vehicle Configuration and Buying Guide
We are thrilled to present an exclusive closer look into the upcoming Road Trip project. In this preview, we explore the refined purchasing mechanics and vehicle configuration features that await you.

Procuring and personalizing passenger cars in Road Trip introduces a distinct departure from the standard heavy-truck buying experience. To slide behind the wheel of iconic muscle cars and performance vehicles—such as the Ford Mustang or Dodge Challenger—players will visit the dedicated Car Dealer interface on the in-game dashboard.

Your journey begins with selecting a manufacturer, with available options determined by your library of DLCs. Owning both the Ford Car Pack and the RAM & Dodge Car Pack opens access to Ford, RAM, and Dodge respectively. Certain packs provide multi-brand access under a single expansion.
From there, you can inspect individual models in detail—examining illumination designs, intricate exterior styling, and comprehensive technical specifications. Players can effortlessly toggle between an interactive showroom catalog and a structured comparative table to evaluate specs side by side. A spectrum of bespoke factory paint finishes is also available prior to finalizing your order.

Following delivery, you can immediately hit the tarmac or route your new ride to the garage for comprehensive styling adjustments. Accessible under the My Cars hub in your desktop menu, this newly designed space serves as your personalized garage for fleet management, cosmetic customization, and inventory tracking.

The garage offers an intuitive layout similar to the showroom, allowing you to review and contrast owned vehicles. Selecting Configure unlocks deep aftermarket tuning options tailored to each model—ranging from distinct liveries and paint schemes to swappable interior and exterior components. A curated selection of cabin accessories is fully compatible across car packs, and you retain the freedom to liquidate vehicles directly from your garage.

Once your build is complete, simply click Drive to experience the scenic landscapes and highways of American Truck Simulator from an entirely fresh, ground-level perspective.

Our development team remains actively engaged in expanding aftermarket possibilities and adding new features to passenger vehicles down the line. Stay tuned as we continue refining and broadening this exciting new dimension of the simulator.
