BTS is edging closer to a full-scale comeback. In a Weverse message posted on Nov. 11, 2025, leader RM told fans that he and bandmates Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook have been hard at work on new material — and that the results are promising.

In the Nov. 11 Weverse post, RM wrote that, “above all, the music is coming out really well!!” and — in a separate line translated to English — added, “Everyone’s trying. Please look forward to it.” The message has further stoked excitement among ARMY worldwide.

Fans have known a reunion was in progress since July 2025, when the members reunited on camera after roughly two years apart while completing South Korean military service. At that time the group confirmed plans for a new album in 2026 and sketched out intentions for a global tour.

Speaking more recently in October 2025 at W Korea’s Love Your W event in Seoul, RM outlined next steps for the rollout, saying they still need to finish album preparations, shoot the album photos and film the music video — and he asked fans to anticipate a late-March timeframe for the return.

Those are high expectations to meet: BTS rose to worldwide prominence over the past decade, achieving three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s in 2020 and landing both the album Be and the 2022 compilation Proof at the top of the Billboard 200. Still, RM has frequently observed that the group thrives on exceeding expectations.

At this year’s APEC CEO Summit in South Korea, RM reflected on BTS’s journey, noting that when the group first expanded beyond Korea, their music was labeled “non-English, foreign culture.” He described the effort to reach mainstream global audiences as an experiment and a major challenge — one they overcame, he said, with the support of ARMY, who helped carry BTS’s music across borders and languages.

As the band tightens preparations for the new album and tour, RM’s updates suggest the project is progressing smoothly — and that fans should expect more concrete details in the months ahead.
