Resident Evil: Death Island Movie Scheduled for September Release
In 2023, franchise stars Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers united to handle a bioterror outbreak on Alcatraz Island. That event for Capcom’s survival horror series appeared in Resident Evil: Death Island, an animated film from Capcom, Quebico, and TMS Entertainment.
Resident Evil: Death Island is the fourth film in the animated Resident Evil series. It will soon be adapted into manga form through the Titan Manga collection, Resident Evil: Death Island Vol. 1. According to publisher Titan Comics, the biopunk horror manga expands the universe with intense encounters and character-driven drama.

Resident Evil: Death Island Vol. 1 is illustrated by ZINO, also known as Zino Kodakujii or Zi Nuo Ye, who previously worked on Phantom Blade and Unity of Heaven. The manga ran in serialized form on Kadokawa’s Comic Hu platform. The localized version releases in the West on Sept. 29. The 224-page black-and-white manga collection costs $12.99.
The CG movie version of Resident Evil: Death Island is available for purchase digitally, on DVD, and on Blu-ray. The official synopsis states:
In San Francisco, Jill Valentine is dealing with a zombie outbreak and a new T-Virus, Leon Kennedy is on the trail of a kidnapped DARPA scientist, and Claire Redfield is investigating a monstrous fish that is killing whales in the bay. Joined by Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers, they discover the trail of clues from their separate cases all converge on the same location, Alcatraz Island, where a new evil has taken residence and awaits their arrival.
