Remedy Says Players Must Buy Control Resonant on Launch Day
The Finnish studio is confident in the game’s success despite heavy competition.
Remedy Entertainment is confident in the success of Control Resonant. In its published half-year financial report for 2026, the company stated that it expects to make the new installment one of the main games of the fall season and to turn Control into a long-term franchise.
According to Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon, Control Resonant received many positive reviews after media representatives and content creators had the opportunity to experience a significant portion of the game during the second quarter of 2026.
The studio’s management specifically highlighted pre-order results. After pre-orders opened, Control Resonant entered the top three most pre-ordered games in the United States, Germany, and Brazil.

Remedy emphasizes that the team’s main goal remains releasing a project of the highest possible quality. At the same time, the studio aims to position Resonant as a game that players will want to purchase on launch day.
The Remedy head also noted that the game will launch during a rather packed autumn period. However, the company believes that Resonant’s distinctiveness and quality will allow the project to stand out among numerous competitors. The developers cite the game’s simultaneous release on all major platforms and an attractive price point for a AAA project as additional advantages.
Control Resonant will be released in September 2026. Several major games are expected to launch during the exact same period, including The Blood of Dawnwalker, NBA 2K27, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Marvel’s Wolverine.
