When Reba McEntire was looking after her unwell mommy, the last point she anticipated was to mistakenly obtain means expensive.
The nation tale came by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she remembered a humorous tale she experienced with her late mommy, that passed away in 2020 from bladder cancer cells. While pausing from prepping a trip, McEntire flew to her home state of Oklahoma to take care of her mother.
“When I got to Stringtown, Oklahoma, [her sister] Alice told me, ‘Now, if Mama starts hurting tonight when y’all go to sleep, give her one of these gummies. I said, ‘OK, alright. The whole thing?’ She said ‘Yes, the whole thing,’” she remembered of the cannabis gummies she was provided.“Well, I wasn’t really comfortable with that, so when we started going to bed, I said, ‘Mama, let’s get ahead of this pain. I’m going to give you half of this.’”
McEntire kept in mind that after her mommy took the gummy, she dropped off to sleep today, which influenced the “Fancy” vocalist to take the various other fifty percent of the dosage herself. “I thought, ‘Well shoot, Mama’s taking it. I need to see what she’s experiencing,’” she described.
However, that choice promptly took an unforeseen turn when McEntire was woken up in the center of the evening by her mommy rising to utilize the bathroom. “I said, ‘Mama, hang on I’ll be right there,’ and she said, ‘I’m good.’ So, I threw back the covers and that’s about as far as I got,” she remembered. “I thought I’m either going to crawl over the bed or walk right around.”

McEntire after that recreated the happily sluggish, slipping activity she made to obtain herself to the opposite of the bed, and when she got here, her mommy asked for ice water. “You know how you can fast forward on something real quick? Reba McEntire found in her mother’s kitchen, ice all around. I thought, ‘Ain’t no way I’m going that way,’” she stated, keeping in mind that she offered her mommy routine water and informed her they ran out ice.
She proceeded, “I laid down and I swear there was weeds and flowers growing out of my head. So the next day, I asked everybody, ‘How many milligrams were in those things?’ 50! I took 25 milligrams with my mother.”
However, McEntire kept in mind, “I still took care of mama!”
