Raye shares she co-wrote ‘Riverdance’ on Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ and expresses her gratitude

A little context if you like pay attention: Raye had a significant function on Beyoncé’s fresh launched cd, Cowboy Carter.

The “Escapism” super star required to Instagram to disclose that she co-wrote among the task’s standout tracks, “Riiverdance.” Alongside a video clip of her positioning with a stetson, she created in an inscription on Instagram on Friday (March 29), “happy COWBOY CARTER day. What an honour it is to being able to contribute my small piece to this beautiful album, and to THE @beyonce who continues to inspire all of us. Track 23 : RIIVERDANCE, co – written by me, found my beat up cowboy hat i bought on my 21st birthday for this special occasion.”

Bey presented her Cowboy Carter period with a set of nation songs — “16 Carriages” and Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Texas Hold ‘Em” — launched throughout the 2024 Super Bowl. The 27-track cd includes a monstrous checklist of star-studded partners, consisting of Miley CyrusPost MaloneDolly PartonWillie Nelson, Linda Martell, Tanner Adell, Willie JonesRaphael SaadiqThe-DreamShaboozey and a lot more.

“This album has been over five years in the making,” Bey created of the task on Instagram previously this month. “It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”
