Preloading for card-based anime roguelike Chaos Zero Nightmare begins — Smilegate reveals server launch time
The new title from the developers of Epic Seven is set to launch on October 22, 2025, for PC and mobile devices running iOS and Android.
Preloading for Chaos Zero: Nightmare is now available on PC via the STOVE client and on mobile through the App Store and Google Play. Players who participated in the previous limited test must remove the test build before installing the final release.
Chaos Zero: Nightmare blends roguelike systems, card-based combat, an anime-inspired visual style, and a branching narrative. The story unfolds in a grim world where humanity battles the Black Mist — a corrupting force that ravages planets and life itself. Players assume the role of Protos: enhanced fighters resistant to Chaos and capable of commanding agents while enduring overwhelming psychological pressure.
Servers are scheduled to go live on October 22, 2025 at 03:00 UTC (06:00 MSK). On launch day Smilegate will release an updated build featuring multiple quality-of-life improvements based on tester feedback — revised animations, enhanced localization, tightened narrative elements, and a more balanced monetization model.
