Pragmata’s Game Director Explains the Game’s Multiple Delays
The wait for Capcom’s new title has stretched on for years.
Pragmata’s promotional materials sparked curiosity among players, yet the game’s release was repeatedly postponed.
Recently, Pragmata’s game director Yeon Hee spoke with TheGamer and attributed the delays to work on gameplay systems and visual effects.
Although the core idea and overall concept remained unchanged, implementing the hacking puzzles proved particularly challenging:
“That’s the main reason for the delay. There were so many trials and errors to determine what could work and what performs best.”
Producer Naoto Oyama added: “Having two distinct mechanics — Diana’s hacking assaults and Hugo’s shooting — was one factor that required us to invest more time. We spent that time balancing the systems.”
At present, Pragmata is slated for release in 2026.
