Since the explosive debut of Vampire Survivors in 2022, developer Poncle has consistently evolved its footprint, introducing fresh titles like this year’s Vampire Crawlers and expanding its core library. Today, the studio unveiled a massive roadmap for the future, including a significant upcoming expansion, the launch of a dedicated Japanese subsidiary, and a new publishing label designed to house its growing ecosystem of “survivor-like” games.

The announcements, which headlined the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, highlighted Legacy of the Bloodmoon—the next major expansion for Vampire Survivors. Positioned as the “evil twin” to the previous Legacy of the Moonspell content, this update will arrive later this summer across all platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, and mobile. Players can look forward to a substantial content drop featuring 10 new playable characters, over 16 weapons and evolutions, an expansive new map, and a suite of eight original music tracks.

The studio also introduced “Survivaton,” a new specialized label. Representing a playful nod to the phrase “survive a ton,” this label will serve as the home for all future projects that build upon the foundational DNA of Vampire Survivors. Whether developed internally or in collaboration with select partners, these titles aim to experiment with the genre, offering innovative gameplay twists and substantial standalone experiences.

To keep the momentum going, Poncle has rolled out the 1.15 Update Patch for Vampire Survivors on Steam, which introduces a new stage, fresh characters, diverse weaponry, and the new “Darkanas” mechanic, with console and mobile versions following shortly. Furthermore, the team confirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version is currently in development.

Perhaps the most exciting shift is the formation of Poncle Japan. Spearheaded by renowned Devil May Cry artist Sawaki Takeyasu, this new arm aims to bridge the gap between global operations and the Japanese gaming community. By fostering local partnerships and catering to the nuances of the Japanese market, the team hopes to unlock new creative avenues and growth opportunities in the region.
