A fresh trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day debuted this Wednesday, offering an intriguing glimpse at the Hulk and a mysterious transformation for Tom Holland’s wall-crawler—though the film’s central antagonist remains shrouded in secrecy. Alongside the cinematic reveal, PlayStation shared an exciting update for enthusiasts of the Marvel’s Spider-Man gaming franchise.
The iconic suit featured in Brand New Day is slated to arrive in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on July 28, just days ahead of the film’s theatrical premiere on July 31. Unlike the hybrid aesthetic of the No Way Home suit, which blended Iron Spider tech with traditional design, this latest iteration leans into a nostalgic, classic Spider-Man aesthetic. It is a streamlined, vibrant red-and-blue ensemble complemented by tactile, mechanical web-shooters.

Players can already equip a massive variety of looks, from the Homecoming Homemade Suit and the Infinity War Iron Spider armor to the legendary costumes worn by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The game boasts an impressive library of outfits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales—including the polarizing “Fly N’ Fresh” designs.
Since its launch in 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been widely lauded as a premier contender for Game of the Year, praised for its playful and masterful adaptation of Marvel lore. While rumors persist, Insomniac Games has yet to confirm a third installment or a potential Venom-focused spin-off.
However, the studio’s next major project is fast approaching, with Marvel’s Wolverine expected to unsheathe its claws on September 15.
