PlayStation’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever: Helldivers 2 Reaches 12 Million Copies Sold in Just 12 Weeks

Helldivers 2 is PlayStation’s fastest-selling game ever before, the firm has actually introduced in its most recent economic profits phone call. It accomplished this title after going across 12 million duplicates marketed in 12 weeks, defeating the document formerly held by God of War Ragnarök, which marketed 11 million duplicates in 10 weeks, as reported byVideoGamesChronicle

Developer Arrowhead Game Studios’ live-service multiplayer shooter follow up struck PlayStation 5 on February 8, with a simultaneous PC launch that same day, which is brand-new for PlayStation. Its common computer approach sees PlayStation games introducing on computer years after the game’s console launch– Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is only just now coming to PC this month, as an example. It appears introducing on computer day-and-date with PS5 was the ideal phone call, however, as Helldivers 2 is currently a bonafide pinch hit PlayStation.

Arrowhead Game Studios CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Johan Pilestedt commemorated the information, keeping in mind there are much more Helldivers 2 gamers than Swedes (the workshop is based in Stockholm, Sweden) while saying thanks to gamers for aiding the group and PlayStation reach this accomplishment.

As introduced in the Sony profits phone call, we have actually marketed over 12M systems!

It’s insane to believe that there are much more Helldivers than there are Swedes

What a substantial accomplishment from everybody associated with understanding@Helldivers2 A huge thanks to the neighborhood for your assistance, …

Notably, Arrowhead Game Studios is independent– PlayStation released Helldivers 2 as a PS5 console unique, in a manner formerly described as second-party. However, offered purchases are occurring increasingly more this generation, it would not be unexpected if PlayStation tried to bring Arrowhead Game Studios under the first-party umbrella.
