Jump Space — dubbed by fans as a “Sea of Thieves in space” — has unexpectedly become a standout success for Keepsake Games. The launch was marred by technical shortcomings, but a stream of updates and hotfixes has since steadied the experience.
Xbox Series X and S owners noticed the biggest gains — patch 0.4.10.105 substantially improved stability.
The primary cause of the crashes was inefficient memory management. The developers have fixed the issue on Series X, and on Series S they’ve temporarily lowered texture quality “until a permanent solution is implemented.”
Jump Space rapidly entered the Xbox Store’s top ten, sitting alongside titles such as Helldivers 2, Dying Light: The Beast, and Borderlands 4. On Steam the game is also performing well — recently topping over 22,000 concurrent players, with an average rating near 88%.
The game is still in Early Access (Game Preview). A full launch on PC and Xbox consoles is planned for 2026.
