The Epic Games Store keeps up its weekly giveaway tradition — now extended to mobile devices.
Until November 20, the pixel-art roguelite platformer ScourgeBringer from Flying Oak Games is available free of charge through the Epic Games Store mobile app.
Players take command of Kira — a fearless warrior and heir to an ancient clan — who ventures forth to discover the source of the catastrophe that annihilated humanity. Her path winds through ever-changing ruins, where each chamber hides traps, enemies, and secrets.
ScourgeBringer’s action is driven by lightning-quick jumps, dashes, and combo attacks. Kira traverses arenas with acrobatic finesse, striking foes with both sword and firearm. By collecting the blood of defeated enemies, players can unlock new abilities, boost health, and develop combat prowess on a skill tree.
Released on Steam in 2020, the game has amassed over two thousand reviews, 88% of which are positive. Players point out limited variety and that bonuses have a modest effect on runs, but generally praise ScourgeBringer as a fast-paced, engaging title that can hold attention for several hours.
