Steven Knight has begun developing a new Peaky Blinders series. Acting as a direct sequel to the original show, the drama will be set in 1953 in post‑war Birmingham, where the Shelby family contends to secure a share of the construction trade.
Cillian Murphy is attached as an executive producer. The series has been greenlit for two seasons, each consisting of six episodes.
Production will be overseen by Netflix and the BBC.
