To our fellow explorers,
We are grateful for the detailed reports you continue to provide. The following patch notes outline the specific refinements and technical fixes included in this latest update:
Status Update: Sirene Encounter Stability
- Following an exhaustive internal investigation, the crash previously reported after defeating Sirene is no longer reproducible in our testing environment. For players still encountering this instability, we recommend ensuring your Windows OS is updated to the most recent version. If the problem persists, please submit a detailed report so we can continue our diagnosis.
Technical Refinements & Bug Fixes
Photo Mode
- Resolved a graphical issue where character facial hair would appear blurred during close-up shots when Shading was set to Epic quality.
- Corrected a bug where the Inner and Outer Cone Angle sliders failed to visually alter the shape of the preview light source.
- Improved the visibility of spotlight and point light indicators to allow for more precise lighting adjustments.
Gameplay Mechanics
- Addressed a critical error where reloading a save while interacting with a journal could cause the item to vanish permanently.
- Note: This fix works retroactively; any journals missing due to this bug will be restored upon loading an affected save file.
- Eliminated a potential soft lock during the Chromatic Glissando encounter in the Sirene’s Dress region. This occurred when an expeditioner equipped with Shortcut and Second Chance pictos was swallowed while incapacitated.
- Fixed a progression-blocking issue on Gestral Beach where selecting the “Rematch” option after a volleyball minigame loss could result in a corrupted or blocked save state.
- Rectified a visual discrepancy where characters under the “Inverted” status effect did not display the intended eye color changes.
Environmental Adjustments
- Fixed various environmental glitches, including collision errors, floating assets, and missing or incorrect footstep audio across Verso’s Drafts, the World Map, and several other levels.
- Optimized and corrected lighting artifacts specifically for Steam Deck users in the Endless Tower, Stone Wave Cliffs, and Verso’s Drafts.
As always, we appreciate your ongoing support and the feedback provided through our official Typeform channel. Our team will remain diligent in monitoring your reports as we work on future enhancements.
