Tonight on the 2019 Academy Awards, Ludwig Göransson took dwelling the Oscar for Best Original Score. Göransson’s rating for Black Panther beat out works by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman), Alexandre Desplat (Isle of Dogs), Marc Shaiman (Mary Poppins Returns), and Nicholas Britell (If Beale Street Could Talk). The win marks Göransson’s first Oscar.

Black Panther took dwelling Oscars for Costume Design and Production Design. The movie was additionally nominated for: Best Original Song (Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “All the Stars”), Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing.
