Oscars 2019: Kendrick, SZA, and Lady Gaga Nominated for Best Original Song

The nominees for Best Original Song at the 91st Academy Awards have been announced. Kendrick Lamar and SZA (“All the Stars” from Black Panther), Lady Gaga (“Shallow” from A Star Is Born), and more are up for the award. Find the list of nominees below.

Notable exclusions from the shortlist include Thom Yorke (“Suspirium”), Sampha (“Treasure”), Troye Sivan & Jónsi (“Revelation”), and Sade (“The Big Unknown”). The score for Black Panther (by Ludwig Göranson) was nominated for Best Original Score.

Recent Oscar winners for Best Original Song include Coco’s “Remember Me,” La La Land’s “City of Stars,” and Sam Smith’s Spectre theme. “Shallow” won the Best Original Song Golden Globe earlier this month.
