One Confirmed Game Makes PlayStation Plus’s August 2026 Lineup Already Killer

PlayStation Plus members are gearing up for another wave of complimentary titles this August, with the first confirmed addition coming straight from the imaginative minds behind Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. While the complete roster for the PlayStation Plus Essential tier will officially drop on Wednesday, we already know that House House’s upcoming title, Big Walk, will debut on the service as a day-one release this August.

Following Sony’s standard release calendar, August’s new batch of PlayStation Plus titles is scheduled to become available on Tuesday, August 4.

Big Walk

Big Walk represents the latest creative endeavor from the studio renowned for its charmingly eccentric titles, Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. The creators playfully characterize their new project as a video game “centered around chatting with your companions.”

“It functions simultaneously as a grand expedition and a comforting virtual hangout space,” notes the game’s official portal, emphasizing communication and collaborative problem-solving. “Every single mechanic in the experience is meticulously crafted for cooperative multiplayer.”

“Designed as an extensive, long-form cooperative journey,” explain developers House House alongside publisher Panic, “it thrives when experienced alongside a consistent circle of friends over multiple sessions rather than pairing you randomly with strangers. We firmly believe players will enjoy a much richer adventure sharing Big Walk with familiar companions—or individuals they are eager to know better.”

Furthermore, Big Walk will feature robust cross-play functionality as it launches across Mac, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC.

Subscribers still have until August 3 to claim July’s rotating PlayStation Plus Essential lineup, which features Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode.

As the foundational tier of Sony’s subscription network, PlayStation Plus Essential grants users access to online multiplayer capabilities, a monthly curated selection of PS4 and PS5 games, cloud save storage, and exclusive discounts across the PlayStation Store. Following recent subscription adjustments in May, the Essential tier is priced at $79.99 annually, $27.99 quarterly, or $10.99 monthly.
