Olivia Rodrigo has sent her fanbase into a frenzy by officially unveiling the tracklist for her highly anticipated third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. The collection promises a deep dive into her signature emotional soundscape with a series of intriguing song titles.
On Tuesday (May 26), the pop sensation took to Instagram to share the record’s 13-track lineup. The reveal featured a moody, atmospheric snapshot of the star, with the song names artfully displayed in pink, embroidery-style typography.
The album is split into two distinct thematic halves: “Girl So in Love” and “You Seem Pretty Sad.” The first segment includes her chart-topping smash hit “Drop Dead,” alongside new titles such as “Stupid Song,” “Honeybee,” “Maggots for Brains,” “U + Me = <3,” “My Way,” and “Purple.”
The second half, “You Seem Pretty Sad,” features the previously teased tracks “The Cure” and “Begged”—the latter of which made a memorable debut during her recent Saturday Night Live performance—rounding out the project with “What’s Wrong With Me,” “Less,” “Expectations,” and “Cigarette Smoke.”
“Only three weeks until the album is officially yours,” the Grammy-winning artist shared in her caption, expressing her excitement for fans to experience the new music.
You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love arrives on June 12, marking her follow-up to the acclaimed 2023 release Guts and her breakout 2021 debut, Sour. Both predecessors secured the top spot on the Billboard 200, setting a high bar for her latest endeavor.
Discussing the project with British Vogue in April, Rodrigo described the album as a collection of “sad love songs,” noting that she was drawn to the inherent vulnerability found in romantic ballads. “I realized my favorite songs resonated so deeply because they captured that delicate balance of yearning and fear,” she explained. “It’s that realization that even when a relationship is thriving, personal growth is a journey you have to face on your own.”
