RAYE Responds After Social Media User Calls Her a One-Hit Wonder

RAYE responded to a social media user calling her a one-hit wonder on TikTok by showing three Spotify billions plaques for her songs “Prada” with Cassö and D-Block Europe, “Escapism” with 070 Shake, and “Where Is My Husband!”

“not being petty just saying,” she wrote in the caption.

“Escapism” and “Where Is My Husband!” reached Nos. 22 and 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. RAYE earned a third entry on the chart when “Born Again” with BLACKPINK’s LISA and Doja Cat reached No. 68 in February 2025.

“3 hit thunder,” one fan commented on the video, while another user wrote, “i would be crying if THE RAYE clocked my a– like this.”

RAYE performed a medley of “I Will Overcome” and “Husband!” at the 2026 VMAs. Both tracks appear on her album This Music May Contain Hope, which reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the U.K. charts.

During the award show, RAYE also participated in a George Michael tribute performance and addressed rumors about dating Michael B. Jordan after they were seen together at Six Flags. “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters,” she said.
