Olivia Rodrigo Debuts ‘Drop Dead’ Live With Addison Rae at Coachella
Olivia Rodrigo Makes Surprise Coachella Cameo During Addison Rae’s Set

The energy at Coachella reached a fever pitch this past Saturday (April 18) when Olivia Rodrigo made an unexpected appearance as a special guest during Addison Rae’s main stage performance.
The crowd was caught off guard when Rodrigo emerged to join Rae for a rendition of “Headphones On,” a standout track from Rae’s latest studio album, Addison. The unannounced collaboration was a clear highlight of the evening.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the atmosphere intensified when the duo pivoted to the live debut of Rodrigo’s newest single, “Drop Dead.” The audience erupted as the two stars traded verses, matching each other’s energy with high-octane choreography and palpable stage chemistry.
“Drop Dead” serves as the lead single for Rodrigo’s highly anticipated third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. The track, which dropped Friday, is accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Petra Collins and filmed on location at the Palace of Versailles.
Reflecting on her creative process in a recent feature with British Vogue, Rodrigo described the upcoming project as a collection of melancholic love songs. “I realized that the most poignant romantic tracks are those that capture a sense of longing or vulnerability,” she explained.
Fans can expect You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love to hit streaming platforms on June 12 via Geffen Records. Ahead of the album launch, Rodrigo is slated to pull double duty as both the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live this May 2.
