Nintendo Announces New Direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Nintendo is preparing a new presentation — but this time it will focus not on games, but on the upcoming screen adaptation of Super Mario Galaxy.

This coming Wednesday, Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct devoted entirely to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie — a feature-length animated sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The company announced the event on its social channels, noting that the official trailer will debut worldwide. Nintendo also warned viewers not to expect any game-related announcements.

The trailer premiere is scheduled for November 12 at 16:00 Moscow time. The stream’s length has not been disclosed, so it’s still unclear whether Nintendo will share additional details about the film or simply present the trailer.

Cast members returning for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie include Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. Directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are back at the helm, with a screenplay by Matt Vogel.

The film is set to premiere on April 3, 2026 in the United States and on April 24, 2026 in Japan.
