Nile Rodgers to Curate Meltdown Festival 2019

Nile Rodgers has been tapped to curate this yr’s Meltdown. The London pageant takes place in Southbank Centre venues from August 3-11. Previous curators for the fest embrace M.I.A. Scott Walker, David Bowie, Yoko Ono, and final yr, the Cure’s Robert Smith. In a press launch, Rodgers says, “Anyone who is aware of my profession is aware of that Funk, Disco, Jazz, Soul, Classical, POP, New Wave, R&B, Fusion, Punk Rock, Afrobeat, Electronic and Dance music all play a job and you’ll anticipate that to be mirrored within the performances we’re planning.
