New Wave of Layoffs at Xbox: Compulsion Games Employees Report Mass Departures
Microsoft started another round of layoffs across Xbox Game Studios. The cuts affected the Canadian studio Compulsion Games.
Compulsion Games, the developer behind the upcoming title South of Midnight, is among the first studios hit by these reductions. Reports of widespread layoffs have emerged, impacting many developers at the company.
Microsoft has not issued an official statement, but studio staff confirmed the news. Employees began updating their LinkedIn profiles to indicate they are open to work.
Staff members Shawn M. and Paulette Richardson announced their departures after nearly six years with the studio. Shelby Dela Cruz and Bijan Stephen are also looking for new roles and thanked their colleagues for their time spent working together.
