Steel Artery: Train City Builder places the player in command of a city aboard a vast steampunk train, bringing Rimworld-style colony management to the rails.
Developed by SoulAge23, the game seats you at the helm of the immense train-city Steelpolis. What began as a display of technological prowess and economic dominance has shifted into a survival story: the Grand Empire is on the verge of collapse, the treasury is empty, and infrastructure is failing. Steelpolis stands as civilization’s last refuge, and you have been appointed its mayor.
Steel Artery is a management experience closer to Dwarf Fortress in philosophy — residents are not controlled directly. They govern their own actions, making decisions based on personal needs and desires.
Settlements may include multiple races — humans, elves, and orcs — each with their own backgrounds. Cooperation can bring advantages, though cultural differences may create friction. Alternatively, you can concentrate on a single faction and face the distinct constraints that entails.
Steelpolis supports a full economic system: buildings produce or consume resources, workers earn wages and spend them in taverns and dining halls. The city moves along tracks, enabling stops in resource-rich zones, but available space is limited.
SoulAge23 plans to release Steel Artery in late 2025. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam.
