New Halo Game Announced for 2026 Release
Devotees of Master Chief’s legendary debut will soon have the chance to step off the screen and onto the tabletop. Mantic Games has officially announced a collaboration with Halo Studios to develop Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Board Game, a tabletop adaptation inspired by the upcoming comprehensive remake of the original 2001 classic. Slated for a Q4 2026 release, this board game will mirror its digital counterpart by offering both solo play and a cooperative two-player mode.
While specific mechanical details and pricing remain under wraps, Mantic promises an high-octane experience true to the franchise. The publisher brings a wealth of experience to this project, having previously translated hit properties like Hellboy, Invincible, and The Umbrella Academy into tabletop form. This venture builds upon Mantic’s growing portfolio of Halo licensed titles, following the 2024 launch of the tactical skirmish game, Halo: Flashpoint.
Halo: Flashpoint has emerged as a standout success in the hobby space, praised for distilling the intensity of Spartan combat into an accessible yet tactically rich experience. Created under the guidance of industry veteran Andy Chambers, the game’s success—bolstered by consistent support and new expansions—has clearly paved the way for this deeper, narrative-driven campaign adaptation.
Fans can likely expect further reveals as we approach the final months of the year, with major industry events like Gen Con serving as prime opportunities for more information. In the meantime, the video game Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC on July 28.
