Music City to Host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030

The Super Bowl is officially setting its sights on Music City. The National Football League confirmed on Tuesday, May 19, that Nashville has been selected to host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 at the forthcoming Nissan Stadium.
This decision follows the massive success of the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, which captivated an estimated 600,000 attendees. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell praised the city’s ability to host large-scale events, stating, “The 2019 NFL Draft was a landmark fan experience. Bringing Super Bowl LXIV to the new stadium is the natural progression of our partnership with the Tennessee Titans and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.”
Deana Ivey, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, expressed enthusiasm about the global opportunity. “Hosting the Super Bowl is a defining milestone for our state. It allows us to showcase the unique blend of music, culture, and hospitality that defines Nashville. We are ready to provide an experience that only Music City can deliver.”
Tennessee Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk echoed these sentiments, noting that the new stadium will provide the perfect backdrop for the city’s first-ever Super Bowl. “We are honored to welcome the world to Nashville in 2030. This event will highlight the incredible energy and spirit of our community on the biggest stage imaginable.”
With Nashville being the heart of the music industry—spanning country, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and bluegrass—speculation is already mounting regarding the 2030 halftime entertainment. While country stars have frequently performed the national anthem, a full-scale country halftime show remains a rarity. Notable exceptions include the 1994 spectacle featuring The Judds, Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, and Travis Tritt, as well as Shania Twain’s iconic performance in 2003.
As the NFL moves forward, all eyes are on how Nashville will leverage its deep-rooted musical heritage to craft a halftime show that resonates with a worldwide audience.
