Detroit’s legendary Movement Festival has pulled back the curtain on its comprehensive 2026 lineup, cementing its status as a global pilgrimage for electronic music enthusiasts. Joining the previously announced techno titan Carl Cox at the top of the bill are Australian house sensation Dom Dolla and hard-techno phenom Sara Landry.
The newly unveiled roster introduces a diverse array of talent, featuring The Dare, Eli Brown, Josh Baker, and Ayybo. This year’s programming places a heavy emphasis on rare collaborative sets, including high-octane back-to-back performances from Carl Craig b2b Cajmere and Boys Noize b2b MCR-T. Fans can also look forward to “The Ritual” presented by Anané & Louie Vega, along with specialized showcases like Neil Frances presenting their “Club NF” concept.
The 2026 edition is set to be a milestone year for several rising stars, with Mochakk, Nia Archives, Ki/Ki, and Barry Can’t Swim all slated to make their highly anticipated Movement debuts. These artists join an elite group of previously confirmed performers, including Danny Brown, DJ Harvey, Maceo Plex, TEED, and Anna. Dirtybird founder Claude VonStroke and the ethereal Octo Octa are also among the highlights of the massive bill.
Spanning the traditional Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-26), the festival will transform Detroit’s Hart Plaza into a sprawling sanctuary for more than 150 artists and thousands of attendees. Tickets for the 2026 event are currently available for purchase.
“Movement is one of my favorite festivals. The history, the scope of performers, and the range of people coming together from multiple generations and backgrounds make it one of the most meaningful events to play,” Dom Dolla shared in an official statement. “I’m very grateful to the Detroit electronic community for welcoming me back.”
Echoing the excitement, Sara Landry noted the unique spiritual connection to the city: “The energy in this city is undeniable—I’m always thrilled to come back to the birthplace of techno. I’m going to bring something extra special to my set, and I can’t wait to share it with you.”
