Miss Piggy Reveals If She and Sabrina Carpenter Have Reconciled After Concert Arrest

Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy are undoubtedly two of the most glamorous blondes in the limelight, but a recent “arrest” during the Short n’ Sweet Tour has fans wondering if there is genuine friction between the pop star and the porcine diva.
In a fresh interview with TV Insider released Tuesday (Feb. 3)—just ahead of the highly anticipated Muppet Show special on Disney+—Miss Piggy set the record straight regarding her rapport with Carpenter. When asked if their joint appearance on the special signaled a truce following her playful detention on stage, the fashion icon remained characteristically coy.
“Well, I attended her concert after we finished filming, so I suppose the verdict is still out,” Miss Piggy remarked, as Kermit the Frog looked on. “In all honesty, when she arrested me, it wasn’t an insult—it was a gesture of profound respect.”
The “staged” encounter took place during Carpenter’s tour finale in Los Angeles on November 23. With the assistance of Bobo the Bear, the “Espresso” singer took Miss Piggy into custody for the crime of being “too hot.” During the bit, Carpenter confessed her admiration, telling the Muppet, “You’re the only celebrity who actually makes me nervous. I’m getting flustered.”
While the concert antics were all in good fun, the tension felt a bit more pointed during their scripted scenes for The Muppet Show, now streaming on Disney+. In one segment, Carpenter suggests that her entire aesthetic is an homage to the Muppet legend.
“Oh, trust me,” Miss Piggy quipped in response. “My legal team has already taken note, and we will certainly be in touch.”
