‘Michael’ Star Expresses Interest in Playing Miles Morales in Marvel Cinematic Universe

The 12-year-old actor is already thinking about succeeding Tom Holland.

Juliano Valdi, who plays young Michael Jackson in the biopic “Michael”, shared that he would like to play Miles Morales in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Valdi is currently 12 years old, so the actor expects to reach the right age for the role by the time the character is introduced:

“I’m reaching that age where I really want to play Miles Morales, so hopefully, I can do it. I’m not even 15 yet, but I’d gladly join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Valdi also stated that he grew interested in Spider-Man after watching Sam Raimi’s films. The actor considers his physical resemblance to Miles, which his mother pointed out, to be an additional argument in his favor:

“I remember watching Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire, and it was the best action movie I’d ever seen. Also, my mom says I look like Miles Morales. That’s really cool.”

Marvel Studios has not yet announced casting for the role of Miles. In July 2026, studio head Kevin Feige confirmed plans to introduce the character into the cinematic universe, but this will happen only after the completion of the animated “Spider-Verse” trilogy. Its final installment, “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse”, will be released on June 18, 2027.

Tom Holland himself also expects to pass the baton to Miles one day. According to the actor, he would like to help the future performer of the role just as Robert Downey Jr. once helped him:

“I definitely want to bring Miles Morales to the screen and help that lucky young kid who gets the part, the same way Robert Downey Jr. helped me. I think that would be a really amazing way to wrap up my career as Spider-Man.”

According to Holland, Marvel already has an idea of when the new Spider-Man will appear in the cinematic universe, though the studio has not yet disclosed specific plans.
