“My journey with SCS Software spans nearly seven years, beginning with the Utah expansion in 2019. Since then, I have contributed to major metropolitan expansions, including El Paso, San Diego, and Albuquerque.

Serving as the team’s road network specialist, I oversee Nevada’s foundational transit layout while redesigning essential rest stops and fueling plazas crucial to long-haul gameplay. Simultaneously, I am spearheading the overhaul of Phoenix, Arizona. I cannot wait for our community to explore these revamped corridors and experience the enhanced driving flow firsthand.”

Johny – Senior Map Designer

“With six years at SCS, I have been a core member of the rework initiative since its inception, having previously built segments of Montana and Texas. Over the years, I’ve shaped both scenic highways and metropolitan centers, including San Jose, Santa Cruz, El Centro, and the Grand Canyon.

For Nevada, my focus centers on the arterial corridors surrounding Panaca and the northern reaches of Las Vegas. I thrive on crafting grand, sweeping vistas, and bringing Las Vegas up to our latest graphical and layout standards has been an immensely satisfying endeavor.”

“I joined SCS almost four years ago, cutting my teeth on Fresno during Phase 3 of the California Rework. For the Nevada overhaul, I took charge of reimagining Reno and Fallon.

Reno is undergoing a total ground-up reconstruction. My priority has been capturing its unmistakable skyline, urban density, and cultural landmarks while honoring the nostalgic essence veteran drivers recall. In contrast, Fallon acts as a lush agricultural pocket nestled within the arid desert expanse. Both regions, alongside modernized stretches of Interstate 80, offer distinct atmosphere and character.”

“Specializing in terrain and landscape architecture, I have contributed to the rework team since California Phase 2. Nevada presents a fascinating geological canvas: dramatic, sun-scorched ridgelines breaking up barren basins. The state’s signature endless straightaways offer a meditative, authentic long-haul journey into wide-open horizons.”

“Marking my fourth anniversary at SCS, I have refined my craft across several phases of California and the historic Route 66. Complex metropolitan environments are my passion, and revitalizing Las Vegas stands as my most ambitious project yet.

Capturing the vibrant energy and signature glow of Las Vegas required intricate detailing. I believe both newcomers and seasoned truckers will discover a far more dynamic and immersive urban hub.”

“Since joining SCS in 2022, I have contributed to overhauls in California and Arizona. Working on Nevada encouraged me to look at familiar landscapes through an evolved creative lens.

I strive to infuse environmental storytelling into every scene. Beyond realistic roadway geometry, observant truckers might catch subtle, quirky details embedded across the desert—including a few nods to local extraterrestrial lore.”

“After honing my skills on California’s later phases and the dramatic elevations around Page and US-191, I transitioned to redesigning Carson City and its picturesque periphery. Our goal is to present a cohesive, contemporary interpretation of the Silver State that encourages players to rediscover old freight routes with fresh eyes.”

“Over my two years at SCS, I worked on iconic routes near Tucumcari before tackling northern Nevada. I am currently focused on Elko, Carlin, and the surrounding terrain. Truckers can look forward to passing through the re-engineered Carlin Tunnel and taking in the panoramic vistas along the I-80 corridor.”

“Having spent over a year with the studio updating northern Arizona and New Mexico, Nevada was a natural continuation. I have a deep appreciation for stark, sculptural desert geology and expansive vistas. Our revamped terrain assets finally grant Nevada its true-to-life grandeur.”

“Though I joined just four months ago, I quickly immersed myself in finalizing the scenic route linking Las Vegas to Panaca. Working alongside Johny to sculpt the rugged ridgelines and recreate the Panaca Visitor Center has been an exceptional experience. Be sure to make time for scenic detours when exploring this stretch!”
