Marvel Begins Preparing for Third Season of “Daredevil: Born Again”

Although the second season of the Daredevil reboot isn’t due until next year, Marvel has already begun preparing a third instalment as part of its strategy for annual releases.

Earlier, the head of Marvel Studios’ streaming division indicated that projects such as Daredevil: Born Again, X-Men ’97, and Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man are intended to be released on a yearly cadence — provided audience interest endures.

As revealed in an interview with IGN, writer Jesse Wigutow said that work on season three is already underway — the writers’ room will convene next week to begin full-scale development.

Wigutow added that the second season’s finale will lay a solid foundation for what comes next. The producer promised that season three will hone in on the personal conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, stripping away extraneous elements and keeping at its center “two men who both hate and need one another.”

According to Wigutow, season two will be more cohesive and will focus on the political and criminal influence of Wilson Fisk after he assumes office as New York’s mayor. Opposing him will be not only Matt Murdock but also Jessica Jones, once again portrayed by Krysten Ritter. The cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Matthew Lillard, and others.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere in spring 2026. The third season is expected to follow in spring 2027.
