Margot Robbie Interested in New ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’
Barbie star Margot Robbie remains involved in the development of a female-led Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off, franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer said.
“She’s still working on it,” he told TheWrap.
The women-centered project was first announced in 2020. Robbie has been attached to the venture since 2022. The actress later revealed that Disney opted not to move forward with the film.
Meanwhile, preparations are under way for a sixth Pirates installment, and rumours suggest Johnny Depp could return as Jack Sparrow.
Robbie recently starred in the romantic drama “The Big Bold Beautiful Journey.” An adaptation of Wuthering Heights featuring her is due to be released in February.
