The globally renowned house and techno institution, Time Warp, reestablished its presence in New York last month, transforming the Brooklyn Storehouse into a sanctuary of electronic music on November 21-22. While the billing featured a prestigious array of talent—including Sven Väth, The Blessed Madonna, Mike Servito, Sara Landry, and Nico Moreno—the weekend marked a significant milestone for a local titan: New York house luminary Dennis Ferrer made his long-awaited debut at the festival.
“Finally marking my debut at Time Warp was a truly spectacular experience,” Ferrer tells Billboard. “The scale of production and the atmospheric intensity were remarkable, but what resonated most was the crowd. They were fully immersed in the rhythm rather than being tethered to their devices. It was easily one of the definitive highlights of my 2025.”
In celebration of this landmark performance, Ferrer is exclusively sharing his 90-minute Time Warp USA 2025 set with Billboard. Though originally envisioned as a monumental back-to-back session with fellow pioneer Kerri Chandler, Ferrer assumed the mantle solo following Chandler’s withdrawal, delivering an hour and a half of vibrant, sophisticated, and masterfully curated house music.
The set list bridges generations of dance music, featuring highlights such as the sleek 2014 Defected classic “Saving Grace” by As I Am, Riva Starr’s pulsating 2025 track “Unique,” and the enduring rhythmic charm of Ian Pooley’s 2002 gem “Fly Shuffle.” The full sonic journey is available for streaming below.
The journey to establishing Time Warp in the United States was a multi-year endeavor. Teksupport founder Rob Toma recalls that Time Warp visionary Steffen Charles was initially skeptical, famously suggesting that America wasn’t yet prepared for the brand’s specific brand of intensity. It took years of strategic dialogue before Toma convinced the team to launch, leading to the festival’s celebrated New York arrival in 2014.
