Lil Jon Seeks Prayers as Son Nathan Smith Is Reported Missing in Georgia: ‘Come Home Safe’

Lil Jon Appeals for Public Assistance After Son Goes Missing in Georgia
Grammy-winning artist Lil Jon and his family are requesting privacy and spiritual support following the disappearance of his 27-year-old son, Nathan Smith, in Milton, Georgia.
On Tuesday, February 3, the Milton Police Department issued an urgent missing person’s bulletin via social media. Nathan, an artist who performs under the moniker DJ Young Slade, reportedly fled his residence on foot and has not been seen since.
According to authorities, Nathan is currently without a cellular phone and may appear disoriented. “Family and friends are deeply concerned for his well-being,” the department stated. Officials are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Detective Sarah Moore at 678-297-6300 or via email at sarah.moore@miltonga.gov.
“The family requests privacy during this difficult time,” a representative for Lil Jon shared. “We are collectively praying for Nathan’s safe and swift return home.”
Nathan is the son of Lil Jon and his estranged wife, Nicole Smith. The couple, who were married for approximately 18 years, separated in 2022. Lil Jon has previously spoken about how the emotional toll of their divorce led him to explore mindfulness, ultimately inspiring his 2024 ambient album, Total Meditation.
Reflecting on that period, the rapper told XXL: “When I reached 50, I began navigating many life changes. The divorce and the separation process were heavy, and I had to look inward to find a sense of peace.”
In addition to Nathan, Lil Jon is the father of one-year-old Nahara, whom he welcomed in 2024 with his partner, Jamila Sozahdah.
