LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin Channels Iconic Taylor Swift Era With New Hairstyle

LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin is embracing a nostalgic aesthetic, debuting a fresh look that pays clear homage to one of her primary musical influences: Taylor Swift.
On Monday, April 27, the K-pop star took to Instagram to reveal her transformation. The photos showcase her newly lightened blonde locks styled into a sleek ponytail accented with face-framing bangs—a look that instantly recalls Taylor Swift’s signature style from the 2010 American Music Awards, where she performed the Speak Now standout track “Back to December.”
“Uhhhh yeah, lowkey it’s a Fearless family tree,” the artist playfully captioned her post, which included side-by-side comparisons of her new look and archival photos of Swift from over a decade ago.
For long-time fans, the comparison feels particularly fitting. While Swift’s straight-haired, fringe-heavy look was considered a bold departure from her trademark ringlets back in 2010, the style eventually became a defining element of her aesthetic. Notably, Swift wouldn’t fully commit to permanent bangs until a 2011 Vogue shoot, making this specific “era” of hers a significant point of reference for enthusiasts.
Huh Yunjin’s admiration for Swift is no secret; the South Korean-American singer has frequently credited the Grammy-winning icon as a foundational influence on her own approach to songwriting and storytelling.
“It’s not just the stories she tells, but the specific way she constructs her narrative that captivated me from a young age,” Yunjin explained in a 2023 feature for W Magazine.
As Yunjin continues to evolve her own artistic identity, LE SSERAFIM is preparing for the highly anticipated May 22 release of their upcoming album, PUREFLOW pt. 1. The project follows a busy season for the group, which included the April 24 release of their latest single, “Celebration,” and their collaboration with BTS’ j-hope, “Spaghetti.”
