Konami Responds to Criticism Over Broken Silent Hill 2 Remake Update on PlayStation 5
Players have raised questions about the quality of the latest update.
Polish studio Bloober Team recently returned to Silent Hill 2 and released update 1.07 for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles. The patch was designed to improve the remake’s performance in Quality and Performance modes.
The developers also noted that this patch eliminates shadow flickering, reduces certain visual artifacts that can occur during movement, and improves the overall visual quality of the game.

According to the blogger, there are no problems in Quality mode.
Other players have also complained about this mode. KONAMI has taken note of the community feedback and published a statement, as the developers are preparing to fix the problems:
We would like to confirm that we are aware of the recent issues affecting Performance mode on PS5 and PS5 Pro in Silent Hill 2 following the release of patch 1.07. Our team is currently investigating these issues and looking into potential solutions. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will share more information as soon as it becomes available.
